Round One:
Setup a Logitech Options Software Account.
Download the Logitech Options Software App from Google Play or Apple Store.
Plug in your keyboard, mouse, and other devices to charge them via USB cable before starting installation process on computer. Use an extension cord if necessary so that you have ample room for connecting all of the cables without any tangles or spills. You can also use this time to make sure you have all of your accessories handy like batteries (or power strips) for wireless keyboards and mice because these will need charging as well after pairing with their respective receivers..If you are not using Windows then install latest drivers for controller/keyboard device first and restart PC afterwards (see images below).
After restarting your computer, plug in the USB receiver to an open USB port on your PC and allow Windows to install any necessary drivers.
Open Logitech Options Software from the Start menu or desktop shortcut icon; you should see a window of various device categories below it with “No devices found” text at the top right corner (see screenshot below) if you have successfully installed all of your devices. You can now proceed by clicking on next button just above this message under “Connect New Devices” tab. Verify that only one connection type is selected at bottom left side of screen before proceeding further – either Bluetooth for wireless peripherals or Wired for corded input accessories like keyboard and mouse..You will be prompted to enter a name for the new connection. This is how you will identify it in all future Logitech Options Software sessions and other settings, so assign one that makes sense – e.g., “Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard” or “Logitech Illuminated Mouse.”
Select type of device: Select from list of available devices in menu on left side; either Wireless/Bluetooth Input Devices (for wireless peripherals) or Wired input devices (for corded ones like keyboard & mouse).
You are now ready to proceed further with your desired action by selecting any number under “Available Actions” tab. For example if you want to set up Logitech F710 game controller then click on “Wired Game Controller.”
Click on “Wired Game Controller” and proceed with your desired action. The next menu will ask you to select the input type (joystick, left or right thumb stick) and then configure it accordingly for selecting buttons in the game played. Clicking Next button will take you to first screen of configuration options where you can assign controls for each joystick/thumbstick as well as create custom configurations which are saved separately from default ones – e.g., configuring controller for a particular game that we want to play exclusively on Logitech F710 instead of assigning same settings as default one.
