I’m always looking for ways to add value to my workout. I also love to see results come back quickly, so as a result I spend time and effort getting my workouts done. A good place to start is with some hiit workouts. No matter what the weather, we cannot survive without water in our lives. No matter where you are right now, your body requires water, food, and exercise.
Hiits are short bursts of high-intensity exercise. They’re often used as a replacement to a longer workout, but I find they’re more effective in increasing blood flow, improving circulation, and generally making you feel a bit more fit. I’ll sometimes take a run or jump in the pool or sauna for a few minutes while I workout. It’s not the most beautiful thing in the world, but it’s still good practice.
Hiits are great for athletes of all sorts, from couch potatoes to seasoned athletes. In my own case I enjoy swimming laps, running, and climbing. I also swim in the ocean (and occasionally at a lake) but I dont like the ocean swimming. I love running in the woods and trails, but a lot of the time I just want to get to the gym. I also like hiking, but I dont do that.
All in all, my favorite kind of exercise is HIIT. It’s so simple and yet so effective. HIIT is the same as running, but you are running or swimming for a couple of minutes. In a way it is like a mini-vacation. But unlike a vacation when you dont feel like going home, you really do feel like going home. So when you are sweating it out or doing HIIT you start to feel refreshed.

You can just hang out in the woods for a couple of minutes, then head outside for a run.

The video above shows us a number of different activities to do. The first is a nice run in the woods. A few minutes in the woods is just about as far as you can get from the house. Then we can do a hike in the forest. We can hike a little bit, then start running again. We can do any of these for 40 min or so.

I like that it’s just a bit of a mix of hiking, running, swimming, and walking. It’s a bit of a new way to exercise that I’m enjoying.
It’s great that we can do these 40 min HIIT workouts. I am sure that many people aren’t used to thinking or living in a house with a busy schedule. Maybe it’s just me.
