I know this is a little bit of a cheat, but it keeps your brain busy so you don’t feel like you’re drowning in it.
I also can’t have it both ways. I’ve tried a couple of times to write down a line that I have trouble pronouncing, but as I write it down it feels like I’m forgetting something. You see, I forget the letters I’m pronouncing.
Sounds ridiculous but it’s true. When you learn a language it’s really really hard to forget anything you’ve learned in it. It’s like when you learn to drive. After several hundred thousand hours of practice driving, it becomes so natural that you simply can’t remember how you learned how to drive. But you can always look up how you learned how to drive so you can remember the basics.
