There are many people who are able to stay in a job for ten years or longer. It is a rare person who can do the same for one year.
This is an important concept that we have to learn to think a little bit about. Flexibility is important for anyone who wants to stick with a job for any length of time, but the same cannot be said for people who work on a part-time basis. The reason is that if you don’t have the flexibility to work in your preferred manner and still have the time to accomplish your goals, it can become very difficult to stick with the job for long.
That is why it is always important to find a job that is flexible and allows you to work as you please. While it is important for everyone to work in a flexible manner, it should be important for the individuals who are working on a part-time basis. Even if you are working as a business owner, you should work in a flexible manner to be successful.
Flexibility is a big thing for small business owners, but it can be even more difficult for individuals working full-time. I don’t think it is important for everyone working full-time to stick with the same daily routine, but I do think it is critical for those who work on a part-time basis. I also think it is important for anyone working on a part-time basis to have the freedom to work on their own schedule.
I am a firm believer in flexibility. I think a lot of people make the mistake of trying to force the same everyday schedule into their workplace, and that can be very hard. If you have to work the same hours every day, you can’t be successful. A few examples: At one point I worked at a very competitive job that required me to go to work at 7am, so my work productivity dropped and my performance suffered.
This is just one of the many reasons I believe working outside of the typical 9-5 schedule is important. It’s important because it allows you to make the changes that help you better manage your life. It doesn’t have to be a formal “work to life” arrangement, but finding ways to work better with your family, friends, and other connections in your life.
I’ve just never worked outside of the traditional 9-5, but I know plenty of people who do. And it does help my family, because I can be flexible when I need to be. That can include working from home, having friends over, taking on a class, or just making an afternoon trip to the grocery store.
If you have to work 10-12 hours a day, that’s hard enough, but if you have to work 10-12 hours a day when you are stuck in traffic and getting stuck behind a truck, then it’s gonna be even harder. I mean, you can’t just make a little extra time for yourself all day. If you want to be productive and feel like you are doing something significant, you need to make your life less stressful.
I remember my very first boss telling me that a stressful day at work was pretty crappy, but that you can get a lot more done if you relax. So to me, that means that you can relax more. You don’t need to worry about what you’re going to wear, what you’re going to say, or even if you’re going to eat. You can focus on the work.
This isn’t always the case. For the sake of a better and happier you, you should try to make your daily life as flexible as possible. But the fact is, flexibility is important for performance, and the more you can control your day-to-day, the better for your performance.
