For me, one of the most important things to focus on when it comes to fitness is the mental aspect. Before you know it, you’ll be walking around the block, or you’ll be running around the block, or you’ll be jogging in place, or you’ll be playing tag in a game of volleyball… all of this and more happens because of your mental state.
The mental part of fitness is something that we talk about quite a bit on our website. It’s not something that is as easily achieved as you think. The hardest part of the process is getting to where you are mentally ready to do things. If you’re already physically able to do something, a lot of it is going to come down to willpower, motivation, and how well you’re willing to make the commitment.
We have to remind ourselves that it doesn’t have to be something that takes lots of time, or the gym. It can take a bit of time and effort to get where you need to be mentally and physically. If you put in the effort, you’ll be able to do a lot of things that are mentally and physically challenging.
Youll need to be motivated by something. You can motivate yourself by making it a goal and actually reaching your target. Youll want to motivate yourself by being able to see your progress. When youre in the gym, we make it a point to take a look at our progress every week. We have to remind ourselves that we are not on autopilot, that we are human beings.
This is a common mistake. We think that we have to be physically and mentally prepared to do something. But in reality, no, it is just as important to be mentally and physically ready. A lot of people can workout but not be physically and mentally ready for that workout.
My personal favorite, and one that makes me feel so good, is when I am working out. I can’t describe it. I just know that it feels good. It feels like I can do something more and be the best version of myself.

I think it takes a lot of self-awareness to know that you can workout, and to realize that your body is capable of this form of exercise. Most people who workout can’t do it. They have a really hard time keeping up with it, and when they try it, they can’t do it.
