This doodle is a simple way for me to take a mental break from the hectic pace of life and actually enjoy the simple act of doing something that makes me feel better. I created this doodle after having two very stressful days and needing a change of pace. To take a break from the stress, I drew a little food I had been eating every day for a while.
I drew two different shapes (a circle and a square) to represent my two stress-inducing meals. The circles represent the two meals I had to skip because I was still stressed. The squares represent my stress-free meals.
That’s true. I usually eat a lot of salad, but sometimes I get some snacks in between meals. I find this is a good thing because it keeps me from going bonkers. I also find it helps me relax. Also, I don’t like eating processed food. I don’t like the chemicals that come with it, and I don’t like paying to get a box of cookies. I just like eating.
When we’re stressed, eating can be one of the few things we can do just to release stress and get some balance. I actually prefer the food doodles to the stress doodles, but that’s more of a personal preference. For me, food does not always have to be a stress-inducing meal. Sometimes it just takes a little time to get going, to get our appetite back, to get comfortable with the food.
I guess the most important stress doodle for me is the one that has a box of cookies on it. When I’m stressed out I like to take a little break from the stress and just eat a little cookie. I might have a few bites and then go to work, and I might be back in the kitchen and have a few more bites to go to dinner. I might take it one step further and actually go to a restaurant and eat while there.
I know, we’ve all been there.
I mean, Im very lucky. My mother was a nurse who once told me that when you get stressed out, you can eat a whole carton of cookies. But that’s because there’s so much stress in the world, and for me, I’m one of the lucky ones. I eat a lot, and because I’m a very active person, I have a lot to eat and because I eat a lot, I have a lot to do.
It all sounds great, but I have to say I’ve never felt more stressed out in my entire life. I mean, I eat at restaurants and I go to the office. I just feel like I’m drowning. I’m exhausted. I can’t really think straight anymore. But I’m very lucky, because my entire family is extremely healthy. I would love to know if anyone out there has any tips for me.
I guess I could just stay healthy and eat a lot, but I like to eat healthy, so Im not sure if that’ll really help me.
You can’t really avoid eating too much, but you can always curb your appetite. The best way is to eat mindfully. Eat in the morning and make an effort to eat slowly. Think about what you’re eating and whether it is going to be enough. Think about the food you’ve eaten and how it has helped you when you’ve gotten sick.
