My parents and I have talked about it, but Ive always been like “I love it, but I dont even like how it tastes.” Ive always been someone who gets their heart broken quickly, and it’s very rare that I have the time or the desire to make it for myself.
Well, there are many different types of soul food, and when we talk about eating soul food, we mean that. One of the most common types is called “dwight’s soul food,” which is a highly nutritious version of a deliciously smoky, fatty, and delicious pork belly.
Well, we don’t have any of that here in North America, but I’d like to introduce you to the one that is the most common in other places. It’s called pig’s trotter, and it’s a pork belly that is cured and prepared as a sausage, usually hung for over a month. It’s the same thing as a pork rib or pork shoulder, but the pork belly gets a thicker, more desirable texture.
This is a very unique kind of pork belly that is not only delicious, but is made with a special ingredient. The secret ingredient is a special type of bacteria called Lactobacillus. The bacteria is grown in a special environment in a factory, which is much smaller than what we normally see on the shelves. The bacteria grows in a kind of natural, artificial, or even synthetic liquid called “lactic acid.
Once the bacteria is grown, it can be passed to the pork belly maker, who then adds it to the pork belly during the cooking process. Lactic acid is also used in many drinks and foods.
I’ve eaten it before, but I haven’t actually eaten it. But it sounds like I might be able to get some in the future.
I love the fact that the bacteria is in a liquid form and doesn’t need to be in an aseptic environment to grow. I think the lactic acid in the food is from the bacteria growing inside the pork belly, and I think the pork belly maker is a bit of a creep. I think he doesn’t want to be making something he has to wash before making. I think he just wants to be eating something that tastes good.
