This summer I would like to share a few affirmations that I have for gratitude. These are the types of things that I believe to be most effective for strengthening my gratitude practice.
One of the most effective strategies for improving gratitude is to notice that people who have less to be grateful for are actually more grateful for. They’re able to see that they have less to be grateful for because they’ve been taught to be grateful for it.
Another way to strengthen your gratitude practice is to pay attention to your own perspective on life and the people around you. We’re all familiar with the saying “you’re what you eat.” My friends and I often joke about how our favorite TV shows often include a scene where the main character is eating an ice cream sundae and suddenly realizes that the ice cream was actually a sandwich.
The same is true when it comes to gratitude. We tend to eat, drink, and have sex all in the same day, making it easy to forget that we also have to take care of ourselves. If you have a habit to be constantly looking for ways to be grateful for the people around you, then you can take a cue from these affirmations.
The good news is that our bodies are programmed to be grateful. According to the World Health Organization, the body’s response to feeling good is to produce a hormone called oxytocin. That means that when you feel grateful someone has taken care of you, you’re going to want to do a lot of good for them. Even if you don’t feel grateful for something, you will be thankful for the fact that someone in your life took care of you.
The problem with gratitude is that it is often difficult to do it. Usually people are not aware of how thankful they are for something until they’re forced to do something about it. It’s why you can see it on the faces of the people around you. If you’re not grateful for the fact that a friend has given you a ride home, then you’re probably not going to be grateful for that ride in the future.
I think the best way to start is to be thankful for other people. Most of the time being thankful for people you love will be easier than being thankful for your own life and efforts. Just saying “I’m grateful for you” is a great start. If you are not aware of your own gratitude, then it will be hard to start. We should all start by saying “I am thankful for my life and all the things I have accomplished.
When it comes to starting the habit of feeling thankful, it was John Lennon’s famous statement that “Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans.” This is also true for our own lives. When we’re not busy making other plans, we’re busy being grateful for the opportunities that come our way.
There are so many things we can thank God for, but we can’t always thank him for all the things we have done. This is why I find it so hard to start the habit of gratitude, because it’s so easy to be distracted by the things we have no control over.
I think that it is easy to fall in the trap of being too concerned with the things that we have no control over. I often think of the times when it was so easy to just give in to the things we had control over. This is why I think it is so important to take care of our health first and foremost, and then focus on what we can control. It might be easier to focus on the things that we do control.
