So let’s start with the basics. While doing a regular step up you only have one foot to stand on and one foot to move. So, like many other things, you are going to be doing a lot more than just that single step. So, let’s add in some more steps and then add in some more weight.
That’s essentially what you are doing with your regular step up, but you are doing multiple steps at the same time. As a result, you are going to be having to take a lot more steps than the regular step up. By the way, we’re also going to be doing a lot more weight. In fact, you can do up to 20% of your body weight with your regular step up.

There are a couple of ways you can do this exercise. The first is to perform it while sitting in a chair. This is the easiest way to do it, but it will not be as effective as the workout I described in an earlier article. You can also do it while you are standing and taking a break from your day. This is the most effective way to perform this exercise.
