Food City is a new restaurant that opened up in greeneville in nashville in the spring of 2014. With a menu that includes the usual suspects of vegetarian and vegan fare, but with a new twist on the usual, this new restaurant is all about fresh ingredients, locally sourced, and the best of the best.
The first thing that caught my eye was the new menu which featured a healthy dose of the traditional southern comfort food. From fried sweet corn to a fried chicken sandwich to a fried green tomato/chicken combo, this new menu is as good as it gets. It also is a great way to eat that chicken sandwich.
For vegetarians, the menu features a new fried green tomatochicken combo.
I’m not sure if I should be excited or worried about that.
It’s true that a lot of the ingredients used in the new menu are the same as those used in the old menu. In fact, the two menus are essentially the same, except for the new menu features a healthier version of a traditional Southern food. The new menu is a way to show what the old menu didn’t have, and show it’s time for a fresh menu.
Its great that there are now greeneville’s new fried chicken sandwich on the menu because it’s a tribute to the original fried chicken sandwich from the 70s. That’s also a reason for excitement, because there is such a long history to fried chicken.
For a while there was a certain amount of controversy about the new fried chicken sandwich. Some thought it was too much fried chicken, others thought it was too little fried chicken because of how it was cooked. Now, that’s a totally different issue. People have a different idea about how to cook a chicken. In fact, if you compare fried chicken to traditional Southern fried chicken it’s basically the same thing.
When you’re talking about a fried chicken sandwich, it’s like saying your diet consists of eating fried chicken. Most people would say, “Well, it’s not fried chicken, I don’t know what it is.” The difference is that in a traditional fried chicken sandwich, the chicken is fried in a special process and then the chicken meat is chopped up and served on a breaded, and then sometimes breaded, roll.
The process is called “deep-frying.” The chicken is baked in a special oven, then flipped over, and the chicken is cooked on the other side. If you want to explain that to someone, they’re like oh, I don’t know, I guess its like when you take a piece of meat out of a chicken and put it on a plate.
