I was a bit hesitant to start the blog because I had heard so many negative things about Kernersville. I’ve read that for the past ten years one of Kernersville’s most popular restaurants is named the “food lion” and that the owners of the restaurant are very conservative, and conservative people don’t want to talk about politics.
Well, my first week in Kernersville, I only had to do the shopping once and then I was a bit more relaxed about the food. I think that’s because I’ve been a vegetarian for the past fifteen years. I just thought it would be weird talking about food with a lot of people.
Its a lot easier to say something is “off” when youre not in the exact same location as it is, especially when its a vegetarian restaurant. My buddy Eric asked me about the restaurant, and I told him that I had seen the food lion on the menu and that it was really nice! I had no idea that the food lion was actually owned by the owners of the restaurant.
