I was recently told by a friend that he had a thermometer in his fridge to measure the temperature of meat, but he didn’t have a thermometer for his refrigerator.
So I got a thermometer from walmart, and this is what it looks like.
That thermometer is actually a much better way to measure the temperature of meat than the old fashioned thermometer. It is much easier to use and you don’t have to deal with measuring temperature on a scale.
So in the past I would have said, “Well I don’t have any thermometers, so I’ll just measure the temperature of my meat once a day.” But now I’m more likely to say “Well I don’t have any thermometers, so I’ll just measure the temperature of my meat every time I go to pick it up.
So you see, food thermometers are more accurate because they are just made to measure temperature. They are not calibrated to any other food. This makes them ideal for cooking meat. However, they are also quite expensive and you can save a lot of money by buying a cheap one and just using that instead.
The best thermometer to use is one that has a glass cap so you can do a quick test to see if it’s within the range of your food. The cap can usually be found on $5 thermometers. I find that $5 thermometers work well because they are cheap and they look cool. I like the variety of temperature ranges available on $5 thermometers because they are all different and they look cool too.
There are a lot of cheap thermometers out there but they don’t all measure the same thing, but they all have a glass cap that is easy to replace.
I have used the food thermometer a few times and just found it to be a fun and cheap way to test if my food is within the recommended temperature range. The one I have is called a “Food Thermometer WalMart” because it measures the temperature of my food without spilling or breaking it. The food thermometer has a glass cap so you can see if the food is below the recommended temperature range.
The Food Thermometer WalMart has come under attack lately (no surprise). A few years ago they made it a point of no return if they discovered your food was too hot or too cold, but they now appear to have toned down the threat.
Food thermometers are now not only legal, but even more so than before. In fact, now any time you want to check up on the temperature of your food, you can do so without fear of breaking it. It’s a good thing because I do not like to break things in the kitchen.
