The Hingham Food Pantry is something I hold close to my heart. My husband and I have been blessed with a good-sized backyard and a very generous family that has made us feel so welcome in our home. We have a large home that is built to last, and something I never thought we would have been able to achieve. But now we do.

This time around, the pantry is a part of a larger project called the Humanitarian Food Network. It’s a group of churches, organizations, and individuals who are determined to feed the hungry, save lives, and save money by finding ways to feed the homeless, and the homeless themselves.

The pantry isn’t just for food, though. The pantry is also dedicated to helping those in need in a number of different ways. I don’t have the exact details of the project or what they’re currently doing, but I know that they’re looking for people to donate food to the pantry for the duration of the project. Some of the people who have donated food and supplies have been donating it for years.

One of the first things I learned about when I started volunteering at the hingham food pantry was that they don’t just throw food in a dumpster. Most of the food, which is donated by restaurants and stores, gets put into the food pantry and then the food gets distributed to the homeless who need it. The pantry is actually a “food bank” so they don’t actually give out food.

The hingham food pantry is a local shelter run by an organization called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). The pantry is located just down the street from the church building and will be used by members of this organization to help give out food.

The pantry is on a mission to provide food to the homeless and has been providing food to the homeless for nearly 20 years. Recently they made a donation to the community food bank and after that they are giving out food to the homeless to help get them through this winter. Hopefully they will not have to eat so much of the food that they can’t afford to buy anything for the winter.
