I agree with Dr. Laura. While it may seem like it would be a good idea to drink lots of water to prevent dehydration, we dont really need to. Drinking water will make you thirsty, but its not as bad as it sounds. We have to make an effort to drink enough water to get you dehydrated. Drinking too much water can cause water retention which can cause issues such as heart disease. Dehydration is even worse and can cause headaches, muscle cramps and muscle weakness.
The fact is that most of us can’t remember a lot of what we did yesterday, so it’s not like we are really thirsty. The reason we drink too much water is because we can’t stop drinking it. Without water, you start losing the water you have in your body. The body then starts to work on you, because your body needs water to function properly.
