The insanity schedule is an activity that we just can’t seem to get into. Like anything else, it is a process, and you can’t be aware of the process of it. When you become aware of your process, you will have self-awareness, but if you do not keep the process going, you will have just a few moments of self-awareness.

My goal in the month of insanity is to remain conscious of my process and remind myself to stick to a certain time frame or to do something different. But not to worry, because even if I forget that I am on the insanity schedule, I will remember that the only way to make things better is to do them. There are two different kinds of insanity in a month. Two different levels of insanity.

The first kind of insanity is more like being stuck on a train. Or a carousel. Or a roller coaster. It’s a level of insanity where your actions are not controlled. You can be in a car that’s going 30mph, but you can also be in a car that’s going 20mph. You can also be on a roller coaster at a 60% incline and be aware but still don’t act on it.
Well, I guess you could say that the carousel can be at a full gallop or a 45% incline, and the roller coaster can be an 8% incline. The only thing that really limits you from being in a car that’s going to a ridiculous speed and make you crazy is your own stupidity.
