Yes, it is. In fact, it’s one of the top reasons why I love riding. The peloton is good for your bad knees, and I’ve found that most of the time they are, too.
In the peloton, I find myself making sure my knee is stable when riding, and that helps a lot. The more stable I am, the faster I can go, and the more energy I can expend on the climb. The first couple weeks of riding, you get really into it, and it can be pretty physically demanding. My bad knees have actually been a great motivator to get back to work riding for me.
When I first started riding, I made sure to keep my knees as stable as I possibly could. As for my bad knees, I think that was more for show, not because I was worried about my knee not being good enough for me to ride. I was just worried that I would fall and break my knee (and I did fall several times).
It’s actually better for your knees, especially if you haven’t ridden long, as you don’t have to keep your knees in constant check. If you’ve been riding for a while and your knees have been good to go for a while, your new-found mobility will be a huge relief. Of course, riding with “good knees” is also a sign that you are a smart rider, which is important to remember if you ever want to get into competitive cycling.

If your knees are bad and you have to wear a brace, you will be an athlete who does so much work so that the pain is so unbearable that you don’t care that your knees hurt.
Of course, that last bit is the one that is a little misleading. Yes, if your knees are bad, it will be a huge relief that you have to wear a brace, but the pain will be so bad that you won’t care.
The thing is, your knees will be bad because they are actually weak and soft from the stress and wear and tear. But that doesnt matter to you. As long as you can push and climb, you will be an athlete who will feel like you are getting “a workout” just by doing normal things. It’s like any good workout: you move, you get some resistance, you feel good about yourself.
If you are looking for ways to get out of bad knees, there are a couple of things to consider. One is to take a step back and look at your pain. Are you doing the right things? You have an idea of what you are doing, but you are not executing it. I am a huge advocate of “doing it all” and “not doing it all,” but there are times when not doing something is the most important thing.
While you don’t want to keep your knees banged up, you should at least take a step back and think about your pain. Sometimes you are in a situation where you have to do something you shouldn’t. Even if it’s something you don’t want to do, and a lot of times it is, there is a reason.
I am a big believer in taking a step back and not doing too much. I think it is easier to say yes to too much and to be too confident when you have to do something you dont want to do. I think it is easier to ask for help when you dont want to deal with it on your own. The good news is that even if you dont want to avoid pain, you can still do your best. You can look at the big picture and make a decision.
