The other day I was on the phone with a friend and she mentioned that she had just seen the latest episode of Lost. When I asked her who she thought the show was about, her answer surprised me. It was a question I had been thinking about for a while: What made Lost one of the best shows on television? Her answer came from the show’s first season finale, in which we are told that it all started with the pilot.
You don’t need a specific context when you ask a question like that. It’s a question that should come up a lot, and yet we seem to be unable to stop mentioning it in our discussions. When we try to remember why we like a certain episode, we come up with a lot of weird excuses, like: “Oh, I was really bored, so I watched the pilot.
It’s because Lost has been around a long time and we feel like we’re pretty used to the show. It’s not like we’re suddenly watching the first season of a show we love. We’re just seeing what we were watching in the first place. Of course, this is a good thing. That shows it’s not just our imagination that says we’re seeing something we don’t like.
This is the first episode of Lost that we haven’t seen yet. We have the full series, but we haven’t yet seen Season 1. We really hope we don’t get lost in the shuffle.
Well, the only thing we didn’t already enjoy as much as the first season was the musical. We’re still waiting for the new episode of the show where we get to see our favorite actor playing the guy who plays the bandleader. In the meantime, we’ll take the leggings set womens with us wherever we go.
