The Food Bank of Alameda County is a non-profit organization that collects canned food, food waste, clothing, and household goods for people in need. Last year, it collected over 100,000 pounds of canned food and about 20,000 pounds of food waste, which it then donated to local food banks. The food bank will receive any remaining donations until they have enough funds to purchase more food items.
