If you were 160lbs and your weight went down to 120lbs, you would lose about a pound in the first month. And if your weight went down to 90lbs, you would lose maybe a third of a pound. So if you want to lose weight you need to make it a little easier for your body to lose it.

The biggest change I’ve noticed in losing weight is cutting out fat. Even though I don’t want to deprive myself of other foods, I’m not too focused on weight loss just yet. I still need to figure out what my ideal body is, so I’m keeping a close eye on my progress and trying new foods.

But before you get too crazy, I think you’re going to have to lose some fat to get the weight loss you want. A bit of fat is a good thing, but not a replacement. You’ve got to make it harder for your body to lose fat, which you’ll be doing by cutting out fat.

And even then I lose fat by eating more carbs than necessary, which is just plain dumb. Since keto diets seem to be a more realistic route to fat loss, I can see this being the case for some people.
