As it turns out, the candy factory is actually the candy shop. Candies in the candy shop are cheaper than candy in the factory, but since the candy shop is where the candies are made, the factory is still cheaper. It’s unclear if this is the intended effect, but it makes more sense.
So basically, while it’s fun to go and get candy for free, it’s not very convenient. Also, the candy factory is a bit of a pain to get into, so I wish I could get more for my candy.

I’m actually quite happy with the changes. The game is much more balanced, and Candy Factory makes me want to play another game with candies and hearts. It looks as fun as it sounds, and the game is still fun even with the candy. I have a suspicion that the game will be quite good too, but I have no idea.
