This slide is my way of sharing the important stuff with the world. It has elements that are designed to help people get back to feeling like themselves, and this is one of those things that I try to share on a regular basis. I always include an image of a positive person in my slide, and I think the most important thing to do is to talk about how your life is better than it was when you started.

I don’t think we’ve ever heard of a recovery slide quite like this, but we’re all familiar with the idea of a list of things you want to do but can’t. Sometimes this is called a “recovery list.” As I understand it, it consists of the things you’re most passionate about, things that you’d like to do but can’t.
An easy way to help yourself feel better is to add things to your recovery list. You can do this using a journal. Your journal can be a list of things youve been thinking about, things youve wanted to do but just cant. It could be, for example, “I am so ready to wake up and eat breakfast”. Or “I am going to start going to yoga classes”.
Just writing down your list of things you want to do and why you want to do them will only make you feel more awake, and it will help you feel like you are taking control of your life.
