A pair of flip flops is a staple item of summer wardrobe for many females. I love these little flip flops because they are lightweight and not only comfortable but they also make me feel like I’m wearing a pair of ballet flats.
Now I have to admit, I’m not a fan of the flip flops because of their shape. These flip flops are too round and can make your feet look too wide in the wrong position.

And unlike a pair of ballet flats, your flip flops are not going to cause you to wobble if you are wearing them at the wrong time. But they can definitely add a bit of flair to your summer wardrobe.

This is something that I thought was a terrible idea for a while. But then I began reading about the history of flip flops and how they have become so popular that people are literally wearing them in public. I mean, who wouldn’t want the ability to step out of a perfectly good pair of shoes and into a flip flop? The flip flop is just so easy to take on and off.
It’s such a very convenient thing to do. But what we really should be doing is looking more closely at why people wear them. You see, flip flops are incredibly comfortable thanks to the fact they have elasticized, or elastic-lined, sides. So when you step out of a pair of flip flops you don’t really have to worry about slipping and your feet will stay put. But the elastic doesn’t last very long.
That sounds like a great way to avoid slipping on a walk down the stairs. But if that was the only reason you were wearing your flip flops, then it might be an excellent idea to also wear some kind of shoe that doesnt cause problems. You might want to think about the foot that the elastic was built into, but you cant really see that now because it’s been covered, or glued, to your foot.
