Sitting throughs is the most common way I get stressed out and what I refer to as a “situational stress”. It’s when you’re about to do something, but it is not “done”, so you’re not sitting still and just waiting to get it over with. It’s when you can’t stand it anymore and just want it to be over.
Sitting throughs is a common cause of stress in the workplace. It is also common in the home and is what I refer to as a personal stress.
I have been known to take my own personal stress and put it on the couch. Then I have my wife take it on the couch and do the same thing. Then we both sit and watch movies or do some other things.
In the end the personal stress is often the result of a bad situation, such as a bad boss, a bad relationship, a bad job, or just a bad day. It can even be the result of a bad day at work or a bad day at home. For a lot of people, a bad day at work is the number one stressor in their life.
We’ve all been there. But what usually helps us is when our stress is a direct result of our own actions. I’ve been known to have my stress taken out by my wife on my couch, but I know it’s because she didn’t do so in the right way. In the end, we need to look at our actions in the right way because we can’t change the past. We can only change what we make of it.
A great way to be able to take out stress when you’re at work is to find more ways to delegate. If you go to a team meeting and everyone is in charge of a specific task, that tasks will get done more efficiently. Instead of having every person in a room with a mic constantly monitoring what everyone is doing, you could have a “team of 3”.
I think that is one of the most important things to remember when it comes to delegation. When you delegate your skills, you have more power. When you delegate your time, you have more power. When you delegate your efforts, you have more power. When you delegate everything, you have more power. You will probably find yourself in a stressful situation when you have to delegate every last bit of energy you have to your team.
The key to delegation is to have a “solo” mentality. If you’re always aware of what everyone else is doing, you can delegate more effectively. A team is a team. When one person is doing more work than the others, they should be able to delegate the work to someone else. If the other two decide to go off and do something else, they’ll just have to rely on their teammates to do the work.
The best way to delegate work is to have a clear idea of what the other person is doing and what the other person needs to help them. If you can, create a plan of attack, as well as a strategy for how you will approach the problem.
At first glance it’s easy to write off a team as a bunch of underlings with their own agendas. But think about it.
