For example, if you eat in a fast food restaurant, you are literally feeding the food chain.
It’s almost like we are food chain dominators. The food we choose influences our thoughts, actions, and emotions. Of course, it’s not just our actions that influence our thoughts. Our thoughts are influenced by our feelings. When we feel happy or sad, our feelings influence our minds to behave in certain ways. And, of course, the food we eat influences our emotions. It’s like we are a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Our actions can make a big difference in how our thoughts, feelings, and emotions affect our bodies. For example, people who eat fast food will be more likely to gain weight. The food itself does seem to have an effect. The more you eat, the more calories you burn, which in turn changes your body chemistry, which in turn affects your mood.
Food is a pretty big influence on how we feel. If we eat a lot of carbs, we tend to be more emotional and prone to depression. If we eat a lot of fats, emotional stability is more likely. If we eat a lot of sugar, we tend to be more hyperactive and generally happier. Our bodies will react to the amount of food we eat when we’re younger, but as we get older, the food-induced feelings shift into neutral.

Our body chemistry changes when we eat more carbs or are exposed to more calories, but it’s also the case that we don’t eat as much as we used to. By the time we’re in our late 20s and early 30s, our bodies are much more balanced and we tend to have much more control over the food we eat.
There is a long history of our bodies reacting to the amount of energy we consume in a given day. In fact, for most of us, our bodies were created to function at a certain metabolic level. Even though we now find our metabolism more and more erratic, when we are younger, our bodies were more sensitive to the amount of energy we consumed. It is also because of our increased ability to regulate our metabolism.
