If you’re new to the wellness world, the world of health and fitness, here are a few tips from the lifestyle reporter at W magazine for making your life a healthier one.
1. Eat a balanced breakfast. Make sure you include a healthy amount of protein and fat, and make sure you get your omega-3’s from fish. If you eat a meal that is a little too light, your body will go through a “hunger” phase and your metabolism will slow down. Eat your lunch or dinner the same day you wake up. If you skip your dinner, your body will go through a “rest” phase and your metabolism will speed up.
You also want to drink lots of water and eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. A balanced breakfast will keep you full and hydrated, and a good lunch will keep your body strong and your metabolism high. For dinner, eat a healthy dinner, which makes sure that you have a lot of protein, as well as a balanced amount of fat and carbohydrates.
You can lose weight and still be healthy by eating according to your “lifestyle”, and by doing things that are good for you. For example, eating a balanced breakfast, drinking lots of water, and not having a lot of fast food will help you maintain your weight and keep your metabolism on course.
People with a healthy lifestyle tend to lose more weight, and gain less belly fat. For more information, check out my interview with Dr. Oz about how to have a healthy lifestyle so you can lose weight and look great.
You don’t have to be on a diet to lose weight. Simply having a healthy lifestyle will help you lose weight and keep it off. If you have a healthy lifestyle you won’t have to change your food or exercise habits because they will fit in with it. To keep healthy, you have to stay in the same place you are, so if you’re not in a new place, you’ll just have to try something new.
Dr. Oz says keep your diet simple, so if you eat an unhealthy amount of junk food, eat that instead. Instead of eating a steak every night, eat a chicken burger. Instead of eating a ton of candy, eat a handful of nuts. Instead of drinking soda, drink water. Instead of eating five large meals, eat 3.

The lifestyle reporter also advised to keep your weight in check and avoid eating processed sugars, alcohol, and caffeine. But I’d add a few more: Don’t eat when you’re depressed, don’t drink when you’re stressed out, and don’t smoke.
