I’ve been on a bit of a triyo fitness kick lately. I’ve been trying to eat enough fruits and vegetables and exercise regularly. I find that I am more physically present and engaged in my day to day life if I do this. It’s also good for my mental health. In fact, I’m starting to get better about incorporating my training into my day.
Having a workout habit is great for your mental health. Having a workout habit is great for your physical health, too. But I find that a lot of people who have a workout habit are in a hurry to get to the gym because they are anxious about their physical health. I find that when I have a goal for my physical health, I make sure I stick to it.
My workouts tend to have a lot of variety. If I don’t have a workout habit, I just go to the gym whenever it’s convenient, or maybe I just try to get in a workout or two for fun. But if I do have a workout habit, I work out for a decent amount of time in order to build a habit. For me, it helps me to maintain a routine, but it also helps build up my self-awareness.
So my workouts tend to be very dynamic. I do intense workouts that are great for my body, but don’t really burn me out. The ones that I do have to be intense for me to be effective. I do all kinds of different type of workouts, so I can’t say that I’m a strict gym rat. I’ve heard that the best workouts are the ones where you can find yourself doing something that is truly challenging.
