We are all familiar with the q-tips that have become quintessential of our lives. These little, disposable, silicone tips have become the standard for bathroom cleaning, even in a place like the home. The q tips have become something used to wipe our faces after a shower, and while I think that is pretty awesome, they also serve a double purpose as a tool for cleaning other surfaces as well.
I’ve been using them since the early nineties, when I began wearing them to work and used them to wipe my face and hands. They’ve been around since, but I never really thought about them as a cleaning tool until I started getting a lot of strange, unexplained things on my computer. I thought someone had deleted the q-tips but they weren’t really wiping the screen at all, so I figured it was a virus.
Turns out q-tips are actually pretty old and quite well loved. I mean, they were invented by a guy named Jack Russell called Jack Russell that lived in the early 1900s. They were originally invented for cleaning your face, but they were later used for cleaning everything, including your teeth. For someone who was into old timey stuff like this, q-tips are a pretty cool tool.
The q-tips are actually quite useful as they are used for many different purposes. I used to have a special q-tip (that looks just like the one you see here) that I used whenever I had a cold.
