Food City is a new restaurant that opened up in greeneville in nashville in the spring of 2014. With a menu that includes the usual suspects of vegetarian and vegan fare, but with a new twist on the usual, this new restaurant is all about fresh ingredients, locally sourced, and the best of the best.

The first thing that caught my eye was the new menu which featured a healthy dose of the traditional southern comfort food. From fried sweet corn to a fried chicken sandwich to a fried green tomato/chicken combo, this new menu is as good as it gets. It also is a great way to eat that chicken sandwich.

For vegetarians, the menu features a new fried green tomatochicken combo.

I’m not sure if I should be excited or worried about that.

It’s true that a lot of the ingredients used in the new menu are the same as those used in the old menu. In fact, the two menus are essentially the same, except for the new menu features a healthier version of a traditional Southern food.
