The gym isn’t a bad place to start, but for a lot of people, the idea of spending an entire day in a gym would be overwhelming. Not only are most people in the gym pretty sedentary, they’re mostly just trying to lose weight. The idea of a gym workout is an exercise that requires you to do more than just sit down and do sit-ups and pull-ups.
To get a more thorough workout it’s recommended to use an elliptical trainer. But for the most part, I think most people use a treadmill at home. A treadmill is more of an investment compared to the gym, but you can get a treadmill for less than $500.
