Although I was a baby boomer when I moved to the new millennium, I’ve never owned a pair of heels that didn’t have a small amount of wrinkling. They usually just feel a little bit tighter, which is part of the price we pay for going out in public in heels.
What is the solution? You know, the solution is to buy old-fashioned heels that look to be going out of style. I have three pairs of vintage heels that are just as tight as new ones, but in a completely different, modern way. I also own a set of pink pumps that I bought in the ’70s and they are the perfect balance of tight and comfortable that I love.
This is a popular idea, but is it really? I have a few pairs of heels that look a little tight from the waist up, but they are the perfect balance of tight and comfortable. The same goes for your hands. They need to feel great on your body, yet are also the most important part of your body that you can easily get rid of. The more I think about it, the more I think its like losing a few pounds. You want to look good, but also feel good. For some people that is hard to do.
Here is a great trick that I learned from a colleague: Use a light-blue lotion to make your fingers shiny. And then rub them against a white towel, or use a washcloth. You’ll see the difference immediately, but it will take a little bit of time to see a difference. The key to getting rid of finger wrinkles is to apply a light-blue lotion to your hands while they are wet.
This works, but you will probably want to do it in a room with lots of sunlight. You don’t want to look like you can’t help but squint when you apply the lotion.

After applying the lotion, I rub my hands together as well. While this works, it is not a long term solution. I can’t really believe my hands are just as shiny as before. It’s not a permanent fix. But it is an easy, very cheap, and effective solution.
