There is nothing that gets me more excited than when I get to take a trip to the grocery store or the deli and pull out a freshly-baked or wrapped Chinese food treat. It’s all the fun of getting to eat the best food you can possibly eat without even leaving your own kitchen.
I’m not sure what I hate more, the fact that this is not a Chinese food restaurant or the fact that it is not an actual Chinese restaurant with a menu. The actual Chinese restaurant I’ve had in person was incredibly good – I love the way it heats up the garlic as it cooks. However, the food in nicky’s restaurant is just a small portion of the same thing cooked differently.
nicky’s chinese restaurant is owned and operated by the family of a famous chef (nicky’s dad) who has been there since before I was born. From his years of experience and from the delicious food he’s been serving, I’d say its very safe to assume that nicky’s family has been serving good food since the day it was invented.
Just a few days ago, nickys dad took the time to send me a picture of two other dishes that he thought were great. I think its safe to say that I have more than one set of chopsticks at home.
The dishes id sent were a chicken wings and a fish ball. They were very easy to cook but were definitely worth the price as they were delicious. I also loved the fact that nickys dad was so open about how he got into the restaurant business, so many people are intimidated by the restaurant industry (for good reason) but if you have the guts to get into the restaurant business, it can be really lucrative.
If you’re really serious about getting into the restaurant business, I recommend starting by going to an online restaurant. There are literally thousands of restaurants around the world and each one has a different set of challenges. For example, one of my favorites, the Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris and London, are not a restaurant at all but a series of restaurants that have a chef or two working the kitchen and a handful of servers and waiters.
At the time of this writing, there are only about a dozen restaurants in New York City that are as well known for their food as the Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris and London. Of the others, there are only a handful that are as globally famous as the Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris and London.

And its even better in New York. The La Pergola is a very stylish place with a great view of Central Park, and the Chinois is a classy, dimly lit place with great views of the city and NYC landmarks.
