I don’t know how much the author of the article knew about the research or how much the author of the article knew about the topic of speed workouts for people who want to improve their agility, but I’m sure they are both right. Speed workouts are very similar to resistance bands so it is difficult to recommend one over the other, but there are differences in usage and even training.
Resistance bands are used to build muscle mass while speed workouts are used to build strength, but there are many similarities to both, so we can recommend both equally. Resistance bands are best used before you start lifting weights, for example, so a resistance band is very useful for building muscle mass and strength before you start lifting weights. Resistance bands are also good for increasing the number of times you can lift weights, for example, to increase maximum strength.
Speed workouts, on the other hand, are good to use to build strength, but can also be used as a general fitness test-and-train method. Resistance bands used as a general test-and-train can be useful for building muscle mass and strength, as well as increasing maximum strength.
The main reason I like resistance bands is because when you use them to build strength, you get to use all your body’s muscle fibers, which improves your strength and increases your muscle mass. The main disadvantage of resistance bands though is that they don’t provide the same kind of total-body workout as a weight machine.
My personal favorite is the Speed Band by MuscleTech. This is a super-lightweight belt that you can use for training your arms, legs, and core. It’s super easy to use (you just put the band on, and it automatically measures how much weight you have in each muscle) and you can use it for anything. You can do a total-body workout with it, or you can do it on your chest, back, leg presses, or calf raises.
The thing I love about bands is that they are super inexpensive, so you can get a lot of use out of them. My only complaint about it is that it is kind of boring. I don’t have any complaints about the fitness band I have, but I do like the idea of the Speed Band.

It’s a little pricier than the usual band, but it’s also less expensive than the ones that come with more fancy equipment such as treadmills and ellipticals. That is if you don’t already have one. But I did find that it was a handy way to stretch out those muscles while I was at work.

The band itself is great for two reasons. One, it has a built-in microphone that picks up the music, and two, the sound levels are not too bad. You can use it in the office to work out and it’s great for cardio workouts or even just to make out with friends. I think it’s a little pricey for a gym fitness band, but I like it.
