It’s a very interesting and important subject. Our food choices and our habits have a major impact on our health. The same is true of our clothes, homes, and daily lives. Let’s not forget about the fact that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.
The fact that a majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot probably doesn’t really matter. But when we’re so engrossed in our day-to-day life that we forget we’re on autopilot, then we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
And then we’ll forget about our day-to-day life and we won’t be forced to wonder if we’re on autopilot or not. And then we’ll forget about our day-to-day life and we wont be forced to wonder if we’re on autopilot or not.
To the extent that our autopilot is on autopilot, we can forget about the fact that we have to think about it every time we do something. So if you’re a person who doesnt like to think about things, you should probably find some other hobby to fill your time that doesnt involve thinking about your day-to-day life.
If you dont enjoy thinking about things, then you should probably find some other hobby that doesnt involve thinking about your day-to-day life.
To the extent that our autopilot is not on autopilot, we can get out of autopilot by finding something to do that doesnt involve thinking about our day-to-day life. To that end, we know that there are few hobbies that involve the majority of our time: sleeping, eating, reading, and even just sitting down and watching TV. You could spend your time reading books about the subject, watching movies, or just doing what you would normally do anyway.
A bit like autopilot, the idea of a hobby that doesn’t involve thinking about your day-to-day life is actually quite beneficial because it frees up your time to do other things. We don’t have to worry about being too busy to enjoy the things we want to do. The problem is that there are many things that are much easier to do without thinking about them, so we end up missing out on a lot of really great things.
There’s a lot of research that suggests that we need to stop using our mind to accomplish things and just let our actions do the work. If you have any interest in this, there is a blog by Robert Cialdini called The Credibility Bias. It describes the very notion of the “credibility bias” and how we all tend to be too quick to trust what we see in others, what they say, or what we read.
The credibility bias is a phenomenon. In fact, it’s a very real one. If you’re in the business of selling, coaching, or consulting, your goal must be to convince people to buy your service or product before you’ve proven to them that you can help them fix the problem they face. You can’t just throw out a sales pitch. You have to convince people about how it will help them and how it will help them solve their problems.
